POE networking method

A fiber-to-desktop communication system currently disclosed in the society includes an OLT device, a splitter, a fiber splitter module and an ONU device connected in sequence. The splitter is set at the near end of the OLT device, and the splitter is connected to the fiber splitter module at the far end through a micro-tube micro-cable; the first fiber splitter module is connected to the ONU device through a micro-tube micro-cable; the micro-tube micro-cable is a single-core or multi-core optical fiber micro-cable placed in a micro-tube; by reasonably allocating the networking topology of the OLT device, the splitter, the fiber splitter module and the ONU device and the corresponding connection cable type, a one-to-one optical fiber connection between the downlink interface of the splitter and the uplink interface of the ONU device is achieved.

Although the above scheme is currently mature in technology and more suitable for metropolitan area network construction, there are still some inconveniences in the implementation of fiber-to-the-desktop LAN:

1. The optical cable line is composed of optical cable plus splitter and fiber splitter module. From the distribution frame to the end, at least six or more optical cable flange joints are required. The optical loss of each insertion is calculated as 0.5db, which will increase the optical loss by 3db. Adding the optical loss of the splitter (different optical losses according to the splitting ratio), the optical loss of a link is at least 10db, which affects the transmission quality and improvement;

2. The current OLT equipment has a high cost if each port is configured with 10G, which is relatively expensive for enterprise network construction;

3. The OLT+ONU networking method is not well known in the society. Generally, except for manufacturers, the technical personnel of the four major operators know a little, but the technical personnel who can configure OLT and ONU equipment, each telecom operator has only one or two technicians in the county area, and there is a lack of technical personnel for the construction and maintenance of fiber-to-the-desktop. OLT+ONU is the telecom operator to promote fiber FTTH to the home is used in the fiber-to-desktop LAN as a metropolitan area network. It is very important to be familiar with the configuration of OLT and ONU equipment;

4. Considering network security, some high-end enterprises will run the internal network, external network, wireless network, Internet of Things, etc. separately, and need to set up different network segments for networking, which makes the networking work more complicated;

5. Since the panel ONU is embedded in the ordinary 86-type bottom box, the space of the bottom box is small, and it is not suitable to reserve surplus wires. Reserving surplus wires will affect the installation of the ONU panel and the stability of the fiber optic socket; on the other hand, it is not convenient to connect the power supply and reserve the power cord of the equipment;

6. The number of ports of the panel ONU is not flexible enough to increase the number of ports in the use of terminal equipment. It needs to be realized by adding external switching equipment, which is not easy to fix and not beautiful. In addition, many units now use open combined office, and the number of ONU ports cannot be met at one time;

7. In terms of network speed upgrade, the splitting ratio of the splitter should not be too high. There was a telecom user who experienced the use of 10G broadband. After 1 Compared with 16 splitters, installing four households will not achieve normal 10G transmission;

8. The OLT+ONU network still has the last meter of network cable, and has not yet achieved a true all-optical network.

All-optical switch networking method

Solutions to the above inconveniences:

1. The optical cable line is wired in an end-to-end optical fiber manner. The ODF port of the optical cable distribution frame directly corresponds to the optical socket switch. The optical cable in the middle of the line and the indoor optical fiber joint are directly welded using an optical cable fiber splicing machine. The optical loss can be almost ignored, and it is convenient for maintenance and repair;

2. The OLT equipment is replaced by a core all-optical port switch. When the same transmission requirements are met, the cost of the OLT equipment is relatively low, which reduces the construction cost of the enterprise network;

3. Using the traditional switch networking method, in terms of construction and maintenance, most network technicians in the society are familiar with this system, including some enterprise network management. In case of failure, they can be eliminated or solutions can be provided in time without waiting for the technicians of the manufacturer or telecom operator to handle it;

4. For some high-end enterprises, the internal network, external network, wireless network, industrial Internet, Internet of Things, etc. will be operated separately, which can be achieved through the switch VLAN division technology, which is more skilled than the OLT equipment configuration;

5. Use panel optical socket switch to replace ONU. The installation method is to fix it on the outside of the 86-type bottom box, which does not occupy the bottom box space and is convenient for the bottom box to be used as a reserved surplus line;

6. Panel optical socket switch models include one optical and two electrical, one optical and four electrical, and one optical and eight electrical (optical refers to SC optical port, the optical fiber plug can be cold-connected on-site, the optical cable uses single-mode optical fiber, the optical port uses Gigabit single-fiber transmission, and the electrical refers to the Ethernet RJ45 electrical port). It can be flexibly configured according to different usage requirements, and it is practical and beautiful; the equipment can be powered by a centralized power supply or by nearby power supply, which is suitable for open In the area where combined offices are opened, the use of multi-port switches can meet the needs at one time;

7. In terms of network speed upgrade, since the optical cable line is end-to-end, and the optical fiber has the characteristics of wide transmission bandwidth and large communication capacity, with the continuous and rapid development of domestic high-speed optical modules, the speed can be upgraded by replacing the optical module without changing the line;

8. Using the core all-optical switch and the optical socket switch to form a network, another series of one-to-two optical, one-to-four optical, and one-to-eight optical switches of the optical socket are used for networking, and the working terminal equipment interface uses an optical port, which can truly realize all-optical network communication.

9. This solution has been tested in our company, and there are no other problems in the LAN fiber-to-desktop network system.

Specific solutions and future development

The architecture of the LAN fiber-to-desktop all-optical network communication system is simple, which simplifies the equipment in the computer room, reduces the use rate of air conditioners, reduces electricity consumption, and reduces the construction cost of the computer room. And as long as one or two cores (one spare core) of indoor optical fiber are laid in each office area or room, it can be redistributed to the working terminal points through the optical socket switch, without the need to lay a large number of network cables according to the network terminal points. The optical cable has a thin diameter and light weight, and can be realized without installing a large-size bridge, or even without a bridge, which reduces the cost of engineering construction. Using optical fiber to replace network cables solves the limitations of copper cables in distance and speed, reduces the use of network cables, and even eliminates the need for network cables, which can save a lot of metal copper (the cost of optical fiber cables is about one-tenth of Category 5e network cables, which is more cost-effective than Category 6 and Category 7 network cables), and greatly reduces the amount of wiring engineering and material and labor costs. At the same time, the transmission characteristics and production requirements of optical fiber are relatively high. Using it to replace network cables also eliminates the phenomenon of uneven quality and inferior use of social Internet cables. The fiber optic socket switch is suitable for installation and fixation of the general 86-type junction box in engineering projects, and is more convenient, beautiful and practical to use in the network system. The full fiber optic development of LAN communication can drive the development of a large number of optical communication related industries.

According to the current LAN communication network that uses optical fiber materials to transmit optical signals as wired transmission, it is the most advanced technology in the field of international optical communications. Using this solution as the construction of the LAN communication system is an epoch-making innovation. The network is all fiber optic, which not only solves the limitations of copper cable in distance and speed, but also reduces the use of network cables or even eliminates the need for network cables, which can save a lot of metal copper. At the same time, it is also a response to the national call to accelerate the construction of a "network power" national development strategy, one of which focuses on the development of the optical communication industry and is supported by the national industrial policy. The fiber optic communication local area network system is becoming a development trend and is currently in the process of continuous optimization and innovative development.
